Unscramble letters for mobile word games

Mobile word games often move quickly. You may have a rack of letters, a few board spaces, and one awkward tile that needs using. A good word finder should help you narrow the choices without making you scroll through hundreds of irrelevant results.

Use the board as a filter

If there is only room for five letters, set exact length to five. If the play must touch an existing letter, put that letter into the contains field. If you need to build from a known first or last letter, use starts-with or ends-in.

Try Common Words first

Common Words mode is often easier for casual mobile games because it avoids some of the very obscure entries. If the board is tight and you need every possible option, switch to Game Words and compare again.

Think about your next rack

The highest scoring move is not always the best if it leaves you with difficult letters. A slightly lower score can be worth it if it clears a hard tile or keeps useful vowels for the next turn.
